Yacht Corryvreckan

explores the West coast of Scotland & the Hebrides

Join us, Chris & Von Lindesay, for a sailing holiday among the Hebrides. Puffins and porpoises, deer and dolphins, seabirds and seals, wildflowers and waterfalls, all combine with exciting sailing, good company, excellent food and spectacular island scenery to help create the Corryvreckan experience. This is sailing in Scotland at its best and it makes a wonderful and varied holiday!

Yacht CorryvreckanIt doesn't matter if you have never been sailing before! Beginner or expert, on your own or with a group of friends, everyone is welcome to come and join in a marvellous holiday. Many of our guests come back year after year! Enjoy being a member of the crew helping in all aspects of the running of the yacht; learning to steer or to navigate, hauling the ropes, stowing the sails or wielding a dish towel. No worries about what you are going to do, or where you are going to get your next meal and as there are no hidden extras the only spending money you will need is for the odd drink or postcard home. Under our watchful guidance everyone learns to hoist and set the sails, tie the necessary knots and keep everything shipshape on board while the skipper is always willing to explain the finer points of navigation or seamanship for those who wish to learn more.

Please take the time to look through the rest of our website and find out a little more of who we are and where we go. If you contact us by telephone or by mail we are always happy to send you a brochure or discuss any further queries you may have.

LATEST NEWS .....

New Sailing Programme available

We have now completed our first pass at the sailing schedule for 2008 which you can view via the programme link I expect the schedule to evolve as potential "Crewsers" make their requirements known. We have planned to start sailing in May 2008 hoping that the weather is as fabulous as it was last year.  However, knowing that we will be very frustrated by then, lookout for some late scheduled April Cruises. This year we also plan to continue sailing through to the end of the Scottish half term. Last year we finished in September as we needed to buy a house and finish up our business down south but next year things will be less complicated.

The first season of the new era completed

Chris & Von are delighted to have completed their first season on Corryvreckan. We were delighted to see so many people coming back aboard who had previously sailed with Dougie and Mary.  They were very helpful in pointing out where we were doing things differently from the "proper" way.

Many new people joined us for their first Corryvreckan experience and everyone seems to have had a good time!

For Von and me the first season was absolutely terrific! Everything we had hoped for and then some.

Corryvreckan is now at her winter quarters on the pontoon at Kerrera with her sails away for servicing and waiting for the new year when we will be hauling her out of the water to clean the hull and get her ready for the new season.
