19th Annual Organic Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Show
was held on Saturday 20th
September 2008 at Shipley College,
Saltaire
Again the Main Hall of Shipley College was filled with exhibits and the judges had a difficult job deciding on the winners in all the classes. It had been a difficult growing season for most of us with so much rain, so we had a new category - disaster of the year. However not many vegetables were offered, so it canot have been all bad.
During the day there were stalls with organic fruit, vegetables and home made products to buy, as well as a selection of hot and cold meals to keep us going.

The national Soil Association were not able to have a marquee at the Yorkshire Show this year, as no suitable funding could be found
The Association are still going to have a presence in Yorkshire and are confident they will get sponsorship to continue printing the directory, Organic North and the producer newsletter.
A phoneline will be manned to sign post people to relevant sources of help - certification bodies, Organic Conversion Information Services, Local groups etc.

Ale House, Saltaire on Saturday 17th November 2007.
After hearing of the groups work throughout the past year, a programme of events for 2008 was drafted. Date of the AGM was fixed for 15th November 2008.
