Research at Yoga Biomedical Trust
Introduction -
A major part of YBT's remit is to foster and develop research into yoga and yoga therapy, since critical scientific research is necessaryto gain acceptance of yoga and yoga therapy and to explore how they can complement modern medicine. The YBT
  • has assembled a bibliography of research papers on yoga and aims to maintain a frequently-updated database of research literature and research studies in progress and
  • carries out its own research projects. We have collaborated with the Vivekananda Kendra (Bangalore, India) in two controlled trials. We are interested to explore the possibility of collaborative research and information-sharing with other groups around the world and are currently having dialogue with groups in India, Europe and USA.

YBT intends to establish a resource centre on  yoga research and wishes to be in contact with critical researchers on yoga and yoga therapy world-wide. Please contact us, if you are working in this field. Send us reprints of research publications, unpublished dissertations and reports, notices of research conferences and notes on research which is currently in progress or being planned. This will be a step towards integrating yoga research internationally, thus avoiding duplication of research and facilitating the development of an integrated research programme.
