Daily Programme
The spiritual dimension is seen by Dr Shrikrishna, Dr Krishnamurthy and the Yoga Biomedical Trust as vital to the advanced practice of yoga therapy. The programmes are based on the unique blend of guided pranayama practice, lectures and discussion on yoga philosophy, meditation and quiet, which we have developed in our previous Retreats.

Our retreats aim to provide participants with the best possible opportunity to cultivate and deepen personal awareness and inner silence. Please come prepared to give the work demanded by this aim your full attention.

The Retreats should not be viewed as an opportunity for a student's own academic study, nor as a relaxed vacation. Instead, come prepared to enjoy the gradually increasing period of SILENCE, exploring in a playful way how to carry out the day's work - without speaking. Learn to use this freedom from incessant talking to develop MINDFULNESS.

Many of the Pranayama and Meditation techniques require sitting. You should have some prior experience of sitting quietly for periods of at least 20-30 minutes.
