Officers are appealing for information after a man was indecently assaulted in Hook on Sunday, March 25.

At sometime between 6.30pm and 7pm the 18-year-old victim was in the Premier Express Convenience Store, Station Road, Hook, when he was indecently assaulted by another customer in the store.  

The victim pushed the offender away and the man indecently assaulted him again before the victim walked away.  As he walked away the man grabbed him by his hair and attempted to kiss him before he was pushed away again by the victim.

The man police want to speak to is described as:   White,  Around 5ft 4ins, Stocky build, Short dark cropped hair. 

PC Stacey Beale said: “This incident is clearly unacceptable and I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or saw this man acting in an inappropriate manner in the Premier Express Convenience Store, which was formally the Co-Op.

“We believe the man we want to speak to is believed to have arrived in the area in a silver Volkswagen people carrier type vehicle.  I would urge anyone who saw this vehicle in the area at the time to get in touch.

“I would like to reassure residents of Hart that this is an extremely rare occurrence and we are working closely with the victim to try and identify the offender.”             Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact PC Beale at Hook on 0845 045 45 45
