Two arrested following Yateley drugs warrant

Two men have been arrested following the execution of a drugs warrant in Yateley on Thursday, June 7.

The newly formed Hart Tasking Team, supported by officers from Hart’s Safer Neighbourhoods teams and specialists from the Force Support Unit, targeted an address in Stookes, Way, Yateley. A large quantity of what is believed to be a controlled drug was seized from the premises and is currently being analysed.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and are currently in police custody being interviewed by officers. Officers visited residents in the area to explain why the warrant was executed and offered community reassurance and crime prevention advice.

Hart Safer Neighbourhoods Inspector, Pete Page, said: “This warrant was executed as a result of the district’s newly formed tasking unit swiftly reacting to community intelligence to target specific individuals. This operation continues our work with the local community in Yateley and across the Hart district to rid the area of those who are dealing drugs, but we do rely on the community to help us do this.  I would urge anyone who has any information about illegal drugs or dealing in the area to contact the police on 0845 045 45 45".
