The actual Zebon Copse dates back to pre
- 16th Century, with the Southern area being considered
Ancient.
The Copse is now about 20 acres in size
and contains varied types of woodland, plants &
animals. The area remains mostly wet & boggy. One
part of The Copse is known as The Peatmoor, & is
mainly a wet heath glade, with another, smaller damp
glade nearby known as The Grove.
It is now surrounded by a housing estate
(also called Zebon Copse) which is near to the
Basingstoke Canal. |
