An angling competition on a
cold January morning, along the Basingstoke Canal, near Zebon Copse.
Zephon Common Swing Bridge,
carries a bridleway between Zebon Copse and Crookham village,
crossing the Basingstoke Canal.
The existing bridge has
it's origins in the 18th century, was re-built in 1954, & was
reconstructed & regraded in 1992 / 3. It is now made of steel
and wood. The brickwork (the abutments and mounting), is dated at
1840. Zephon Common
